STARTING A BUSINESS
Documentation is required to be submitted to the Business Registers Agency – Regional Centre Subotica.

Documents needed:
1. Uniform registration form
2. Proof of identity of the founder (photocopy of ID or passport)
3. Notarised Articles of Association (memorandum or agreement), with certified founders’ signatures 4. Bank deposit slip confirming a deposit of 250 EUR on a temporary account – expressed in euro
and showing dinar equivalent on the day of payment (additional 250 euros within a period of two
years from the date of registration)
5. Decision on appointment of representative if one is not prescribed by the Articles of Association 6. Certified signature of the representative
7. Proof of payment of registration fee
8. Proof of payment of fee for obtaining a registration number,
Notes for investors:
- documents certified by an authorised foreign notary (from investor’s country of origin) must have
Apostille attached to them
- documents submitted in a foreign language must include written Serbian translation certified by a
court appointed interpreter.
Registration fee: 3 600.00 RSD
Fee for obtaining a registration number: 1 750.00 RSD
Registration forms and payment instructions can be obtained in the Business Registers Agency or downloaded from the Agency’s website www.apr.gov.rs/eng
By registering with the Business Registers Agency, legal entities obtain:
- registration number
- VAT number (if conditions for VAT registration are met)
After registration, the Business Registers Agency automatically delivers necessary information to:
- The Disability and Pension Fund
- Republic Institute for Health Insurance (information necessary for contribution payers’ registration)
After obtaining a registration certificate, the next steps to starting a business are:
- creating a seal
- opening a permanent bank account.
